When the dove returned to Noah after the flood, the olive branch had flourished. In Roman's history the olive tree is the symbol of the spiritual heritage of the Jewish people. The olive tree is a symbol of peace for both Jews and Romans. The Romans used to use olive tree for their goddess of peace, Athena.
In Israel the olive has been used for over 6,000 years. The olive tree and its oil have been major components in the culture and rituals of Ancient Israel and the economy of its inhabitants throughout history, for medicine uses and heat and for food.
The olive tree is one of the major symbles of the middle east, for that it is the residnts of the middle east have always been dependend on the olive tree which was the main resource for food and oil.
Olive Trees can only live in hot places. it is used for furnushing and sculpting.There are olive trees that live for 1,000 years and even more.

It is an amazing tree and the notes are very good. The image does look flat to me so I have posted a workshop. Hope you like what I have done.

Welcome to TE, Abraham.
I like your photo, and I like your note very much, it is very informative and important.
The tree is wonderfull, but the photo's quality is not the best. It has to be sharpened, color and contrast can be improved, and you also could post a larger size, up to 800 pixel high. But still, I like the composition and your eye for details.

I have almost nothing to add to Avigur's words - may be that you should came back to this beautiful tree when the lighting conditions are better, so the color would be more vivid.
