Mushroom Rock, a photo from Aqaba, South

Photographer's Note

We were camping in the desert out by Wadi Rum, and on one of our excursions we found this funny shaped rock.

The bright orange sand contrasts well with the lovely blue sky.

If only we could have spent an hour or 2 'raking' the sand to remove the tire tracks ;)

Amazing shape and contrasting colors of the desert. The horizon is at the center of the picture, and the wheels tracks on the sand are not welcome.

Hi Rob & Katrine
a beautiful place and gloriously colourful shot. Love the contrast of warm versus cold and the shadows adding depth and perspective to the image. Understand your feeling about the human intrusion in this shot, and perhaps a bit of selective cloning might have broken the lines a little and Claude's workshop is an attractive compromise. Otherwise execution and presentation are spot on here and I love it!
