Photographer's Note

It is a great experience to find all those grey stones surrounded by a juicy grass.

Apamea was founded in the third century by a general in the army of Alexander the Great - Seleucus I. He named this place after his wife.

Apamea was an important trade post connected with Lattakia and famous for it's horses.

Since Cleopatra and Mark Antony visited the city on their way back from the campaign against the Armenians, no tourist can omit it while exploring Syria.
