St Nicholas Cove, a photo from Mugla, Aegean

Photographer's Note

This is the first overnight stop on the 3 night / 4 day gulet (blue cruise) from Fethiye to Kas and on to Olympus / Antalya or back to Fethiye by bus. It is said that St Nicholas lived in the ruined buildings on the slopes of the island at right. I went up there for a sunset shot and wasn't disappointed. Taken late afternoon before I started heading up the walking track on the hill threading between the ruins to a lookout.

Hello Chris,

The low sunlight on the boats is really highlighting them and creating most attractive, golden reflections on the water.
The small boat adds to the composition to create an interesting trio.
What better setting could you have for these cruisers!

Elle est belle cette lumière sur le petit port naturel à cette heure de la journée. Il faut dire que ces voiliers sont de toute beauté dormant presque sur les eaux calmes.

A week from Bodrum to Fethiye very very exciting but where i broken my camera,so i haven't photographic memories but just a film. Looks a delightful spot for a rest with ideal photo opportunities. The light is very good - indicating clean clear air and the two headlands beyond give depth to the shot. Some fantastic colours there, clinched by good foreground detail. Great shot, Congrats.

I have heard so much about the Blue Voyage (Mavi Yolculuk) but have not had the chance to go on it. Maybe next time I take the family to Turkey, we should do it.
