Camping , 4200m at Mt Agri, a photo from Agri, East Anatolia

Photographer's Note

Turkish Mountaineering federation organised a climbing to summit of Mt Agri last week.We put up our tents at the 4200 m altidute.The weather was very cold .The speed of wind was 100 km/h.İt was imposibble standing up at this camp area

Hemen arkada Ermenistan daglari, muthis bir atmosfer ve bumevsimde ordaki havayi solumak muthis bir sanssssssssss... Agustosta 11 saat buzul yuruyusu yaparak ulastigimiz Agri zirvesine kis tirmanisi yapma sansim olmadi... coook ama coook kiskandum ulaaaaa :)

Ankara' da da kar var, biz düz yolda zor yürüyoruz. Ayakta alkışlıyorum ekibinizi:)) Ufuktaki dağın görünümü muhteşem. Renk renk çadırlar da çok güzel görünüyor. Donmadınız mı o çadırlardaaaaa?:)

Merhaba Asım Hocam,
Sizleri kıskanmamak mümkün değil.Şunu anladım ki sizler zirvelerde daha mutlusunuz.Türkiyenin en yüksek noktasında olmak, o yükseklikten etrafı izlemek, oksijeni az bile olsa o havayı solumak tarifsiz bir duygudur herhalde..Gerçekten tebrikler.

Bonjour Asim,
1, 2, 3, 4 green, orange, orange, orange, orange... I like so these contrasts.
We haven't the noise of the wind, it must be terrible, the small walls of snow that you built do not have to prevent it from passing.
The summit which appears quite at the bottom is magnificent.
I like this photo which dominates the World, I put it in my favourites.

A view that illustrates nicely the conditions up there, I guess you did not venture very far to find pov given that wind but we can feel it from the photo and the protection blocks put around the tents, and the impression is luminous.

Hello Asim,

Thanks for this mountain photo and the note explaining the purpose. Should have been cold your night at this altitude and with the wind.
It seems the sensor of your digital camera is a little dirty, we can notice some dark spots in the sky. If it is dry dust, it is easy to remove with an air spray, but if it is wet dust, you will have to use special product.
For ponctual photo, the cleaning can be done using the stamp tool in Photoshop.

I'm not mountain climber but I find this a very lovely sport, I think that them always very well have to are alert on this height.
It's a very lovely picture with the tents between the snow blocks.
100 km/u wind, shall not easy are for working and climbing, bur a climber is a hard sportsman.

Asım Hocam merhaba;

fotografa bakınca içim gitti; Dogrusu orada olmak istedim. Kış mevsiminde havanın berraklıgı cevrenin seyrine büyük keyif katıyor. Uzaklarda ki daglar çok net bir şekilde görülüp fotograflanabiliyor. Ağrı kış tırmanışın ne kadar zorlu şartlar altında yapıldıgını bir çok arkadaşım söylemiştir. Umarım bir gun de yolumuz kış mevsiminde Agrı Dağına düşer ve bu keyfi bizde yaşarız.
Rengarenk çadırlar ortamdaki o sogukluğu almış götürmüş. Başarılı güzel bir kompozisyon olmuş. Eline emegine sağlık Selamlar Derya:)
