"In order to accentuate and draw attention to the centralized structure of Selimiye Mosque, the traditional placement of different-sized minarets was abandoned from the design. Instead, four identical minarets were planted at each corner of the marble forecourt to frame the central dome. The four vertically-fluted, symmetrical minarets amplify the upward thrust, shooting towards the sky like rockets from each corner of the mosque, in the words of Ottoman scholar Gülru Necipoğlu." No distorted minaret today. A perfect photo looking up for what would have been a long climb up for the call to pray.

Hello Murat,

You have been very creative with your fisheye example which looks great, no obvious perspective faults.

I like this chosen viewpoint.
You bring the viewers in close and give them the impression that they are standing beneath the minaret, looking upwards. It appears to be touching the sky!!

I am quite surprised to read that note because I always thought that the minarets are symmetrical and all the same size. Nevertheless it is a lovely close up look from below. We can feels its anormous size and it is elegantly decorated.
