The Legend Is Returning, a photo from Kirklareli, Marmara

Photographer's Note

These flags of the local football (soccer for Americans) club were hanging above the main drag with the message "Efsane geri dönüyor" (the legend is returning). I simply liked the repeating flags and took a snapshot.

A little search on the web revealed that Lüleburgazspor (the football club) was founded in 1967, the year after we left that town. It currently plays in the Amateur League.

Most of us call it soccer in Australia too but I don't follow it at all but this is a good quality, colourful and sharp street photo.

Hello Murat,
How did they know you would be returning that day? This is another photo of strong colors, and a lot of colors, and that goes for the WS too. I am sure this street looked very different when you were a kid.

Looking at the repeated motif of the flag made me think of the third street promenade in Santa Monica, not sure whether you had a chance to be there.
I like your processing which emphasized very well the colors. The scene is so full of life and quite eye catching,
