Photographer's Note
The beginning did not look so difficult...
We all thought we were about to go into a route we know...
fog makes things really hard..no reference points as all of them look alike...even the marks we leave were hard to find...
guy at the very right is from the army...we could finish the route with his efforts and got back to our minibus...
finally our driver got lost as the night fell to the narrow mountain roads :)..and we had to lead him down the hill with our torchlights...

I think the B&W works great in this photo,the fog and the bare trees add to an eerie feeling.

B&W often works well with fog and mist, it clearly does here. Good choice to drop back for this shot, creating a fine mood of the group walking into the mist. Lovely light.
I might crop some of the road, below that diagonal white line (an exposed pipe?); partly because the line is distracting and partly to increase the portion of the frame that is in the soft light.

It's like an horror movie...

With the lighing and foggy background the group does seem to heading into some trouble. The photo has great balance and a wonderful composition.
