Looking out the Golden Horn, a bay opening up to the entrance of Bosphorus, Suleymaniye Mosque is a masterpiece by the imperial chief architect Sinan. Built in mid 16th century, this mosque symbolizes the heyday of the Ottoman Empire and the power of its sultan Soliman the Magnificent.
