Patara cliffs, a photo from Antalya, Mediterranean

Photographer's Note

Patara Beach is the longest sandy beach in Turkey but there are several shots of it already uploaded to TE. This is the south eastern Headland where the beach abruptly ends to the right. There are very few if any shots from this pov. Backlight was a problem here but still worth posting. Gelemis is the nearest town. Here's an aerial view of the cliff for those with lightshot installed.

Tu as bien capturé la puissance des vagues. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des falaises. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

Hello Chris, There are only a few photos of this long beach. Fantastic view of these high cliffs. Looks a bit like in Algarve. Great colours of the sea and the rock, especially in the lower part of the photo. Were you not afraid to stand so close to the edge?

Chris, the dark blue color indicates the sea is deep at the foot of these cliffs. To stand here must scary. Nice view of the coastline. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Chris,
I can see the light was difficult, but you handled it well and actually used it to your advantage. The strong contrasts and the reflections in the sea make a great impact. It's a stunning view and the colours are very well saturated.

Hello Chris,

It was important that you included the edge of the cliff to gain the impression of depth and distance to the ocean but, it also looks a bit scary! I read your note to Malgo, so I understand the decisions that you make.
You have obtained some fine lighting and textural contrasts.

Nice saturated colors of a land that so much history. Good to see it for the most part unblemished and in an untouched state. The blue water of the Mediterranean sea. Awesome image.

A great vertical composition to see these cliffs. The rocks and vegetation make a good foreground as well and add depth and I like the division between the cliffs and the deep blue sea.

A beautiful sandy beach is of course delightful for sunbathing or swimming in the sea, but these steep rock faces rising from the sea are much more attractive to look at.
Especially the beautiful blue of the sea stands out.

beautiful natural scenery. I like the vertically wide composition from the rocks you are standing on up to the sky.
