Photographer's Note
An early blue hour shot from the 55th floor of the Sapphire Tower, opened in March 2011. The view offers a panoramic vista of Levent, looking to the south east. Shot through glass. I have lassoed the reflections and darkened them to make them less obvious.

Hello Chris,
The well handled processing makes it hard to see that there was a thick glass in front of the camera. This is an area I have only seen from a distance. I never thought of "climbing" this tower. The view is interesting but very different from the Istanbul I have loved for more than 50 years.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
Exceptional sight from even higher level than the towers we see bellow.
A superb modern architecture design mingling colors of notable blue and grey glassed windows, and green lawn areas between contrast from illuminated bright yellow parts.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Chris,
Your photo shows Istanbul is developing into a modern metropolis with buildings that reach to the sky.
You managed to eliminate the disturbances through the glass very well.
A wonderful result.
Have a nice Sunday, Groet Rob

Bonjour Chris,
L'étendue de la ville donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'architecture des gratte-ciel. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,
Nice panorama image, excellent taken out of the height, the 55th floor be very high.
It seems a nice city atmosphere, but with wonderful roads and skyscrapers.

Hello Chris,
You have done a fine job with the pp, I would not have guessed that this was taken though glass.
It's a fine, clear exposure, revealing the modernity of this section of the city, compared with the buildings on the periphery.
The illuminated roads act like very useful guides to direct viewers around the scene.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris
Definitely taken long after I was there. The city has taken off.
A good, presumably evening photo with good use of the lights and reflections.
By the way after your Egyptian series did you see the program Egypt on SBS last night?
cheers
Ian

Hello Chris
You titled '...from the Sapphire Tower'. Indeed the overall blue cast of your magnificent take, provided by the early dusk, suits beautifully to the heading!
The many spots of sodium lighting on the road strips complete the enchanting effect.
Thanks for the magic applied on reflects.
Cheers

Hello Chris, no-one would know that this was taken through glass, it is so sharp and clear.
A good point of view where the skyscrapers are spread across the frame.
You are even higher than the tallest tower that we can see.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Chris,
Cool view, with very nice exposure. You did a great job handling any reflections. I like how the city lights are starting to sparkle, and the illuminated streets are pretty, too. Take care!

Hello Chris,
A familiar view caught at a wonderful time. This is where my camera skirt would be useful, but I do not carry it around.
