Photographer's Note
Last time I entered this complex, it was a museum. But this year, it had been reconverted to a mosque. It is a sign of the changing political power in Turkey.

Hi Murat
I believe that the change wasn't without controversy. A good photo of people entering, especially with those 3 colourful scarfs.

Hello Murat,
Even though the nearest minaret is still slightly tilted I think the wider view makes the WS more appealing. It's no big deal, but we see more of the ancient church in the WS, and just as many persons. The fine light and colors are the same. I think I have mentioned already long ago that in my opinion this should have remained a museum, being a world heritage important to the entire humanity and with no natural connection with Islam. I love visiting mosques, but there are already plenty enough in Istanbul.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
According to I reads are the changing not very positive of museum to Mosque!

Hello Murat, I like both shots of the entrance but can see why you chose this for the main post.
It is a very interesting complex of buildings. The people animate the scene very nicely.
Good sharp quality.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Murat,
It's not hard to guess which building this is after reading your note. A good photo of the entrance with the many people waiting to get in. The architecture looks good too with lots of details and fine colours.

Hello Murat,
Both views of the mosque are interesting and have slightly different atmospheres. With this one, we feel to be part of the crowd, visiting the mosque, whilst in the wider view, the building becomes more of an interest.
I must admit, it looks more like a museum than a mosque, especially in this view.
I have read some other critiques with interest.
How do you feel about it becoming a mosque rather than a museum?
Has a different building been allocated as a museum or has history taken a back seat?
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Murat,
Excellent picture of this museum that has recently become a mosque. But then I saw the similar photo in your WS and like it even better in its vertical format.
The extra space at the top shows not only the top of the minaret but also beautiful clouds in the sky.
Beautiful foreground each time with the mosque visitors and the lady who's taking pictures.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Murat,
Very interesting reportage from the way to the famous temple.
The ladies in colorful scarves add so much life and color here.
This reminds me another photo which I took in Cyprus:
https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Middle_East/Cyprus/West/Nicosia//photo1497667.htm
That was also in front of the church converted to mosque.

Murat
It isn't a nice news, but if the visitation goes on it isn't so bad.in the Russian case this event was Justice.
Nice view with the women in the gates.
