Photographer's Note

The pictur-e was taken in Patara Beach halfway Kas and Kalkan.
Patara was the major port of Lycia, located at the mouth of the Xanthos River, until it silted up and turned into a malaria-plagued marsh.

Patara beach should not be missed with its gorgeous landscape and great swimming. It is a national park and home to many birds, also the breeding ground of the endangered Loggerhead turtle. The beach is an 18 kilometer-long strip of sand bordered on its ends by mountains and along its length by sand dunes and the large marshy area which once was the celebrated harbour of Patara.

PS: Because I scanned at home the quality has dropped.

Hello Salim...
This is a well composed image, with very good lines! In particular I like the dwindling curve of the beach...
Interesting colours... Probably scanned from a print, impressive quality for more that 20 years old picture!
Image is slightly tilted counter clockwise, but that can easily be corrected

Hello Salim, This is a beautiful beach, and an informative note about it which adds to the interest. I like the curve going into the distance and the colors. Like pablominto, I note the slight tilt that could be easily be corrected. I'm conscious of this because I don't see it in my photos until I post them and it's too late. ;)
