lazy women, a photo from Amasya, Central Anatolia

Photographer's Note

This is candid picture taken with my F100 some years ago in Amasya, . These women were sitting in front of their house, and they were very happy to pose for me. I found their natural look very reminiscent of old orientalist paintings, and contrary to many women who are reluctant to pose these seemed quite happy . The fact that their wall was colorful added some effect to the overall.

geri plandaki duvar,renkleri ve dokusuyla enfes... bayanların yeri ama özellikle pozisyonları ise harika... kırmızıyı bir şekilde yine yakalamışsınız... ;)

The women are nicely placed in the composition and the two in front look marvellously relaxed. Their arms form an fine pattern. You were also lucky with the background and the tree to the left.

Nice candid photograph but I do not like the title may be they are resting after hard days work..

Bonjour Izzet,

Je suis en effet d’accord avec toi que cette photo fait penser à certaines peintures orientalistes.
Le coté reposant et un peu lascif des femmes, la couleurs des murs tout y contribue.
Ces vrai que les regards et les sourires montrent leur plaisir d'être photographiée.

beautifully composed. The sitting women make a traingle that works very well. Even the pink jug acts to form this triangle. The women;s expressions are a joy, full of character.I especially like the woman in the middle who has a srong personality and is posed so well.
