Evolution, a photo from Abu Dhabi, West

Photographer's Note

Hi Friends,

The moment I sow this insect I cracked laughing immediately, I remembered the movie EVOLUTION, the yellow head and the three spots on it...it's right? but this is the right real virgin of it.

this time it was the first day I have the 105mm lens, so I decided to go to the park next to the house and try it, I had few good shots but I believe this is the unique one amongst them.

I cloud not use the tripod here although it is a must in such cases as these creatures never stops moving and if I move slightly I will loose the focused points I aimed on, the 105mm is so sensitive macro lens.

This is another great capture.
I am waiting for a few minutes to be able to see it... and it was worth!

Hello Sam,

I like also the movy Evolution, I saw it many times in DVD. It is true this bug head is like the smiley.
I like this macro because it was well managed: the focus is on the head, the composition is built on the diagonale and is not centred, the exposure is good.

Hello Sam,

I know that the D300 of Nikon can make very good macro pictures, it's very difficult a 105mm lens to use without tripod or monopod, monopod is very easy for use, and the results are very nice.
F/9, 1/320 is excellent you focus on the head this always very nice, we see the eyes this is very important.

Yes Sam, this is a too sensitive macro lens but under a good manipulation you take fantastic shots!
Fine details and colours! The pleasing background blur is welcome and a great effect as usual!
