Photographer's Note
The small tugboat riding anchor is "at rest" in this sunset.
I shot this when - on my way home - I saw the spectacular colours over Sambro Harbour. This was the view that greeted me as I reached Sambro Head after returning from Halifax.
It is the first glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean where the provincial highway - also called the Sambro Loop -reaches the shoreline of the ocean.
When the sun sets there is often a spectacular view towards the West - over Sambro Creek and Sambro - from this point. The local boatyard is to the right in this shot.
PP: sharpness; colour saturation. Scaled and cropped to fit. Captioned.

Beautiful and relaxing sunset view. Nice clouds. Boat is well placed into the scene. Strong sharpening shows bright halo on edges.

Hi Jay, gotta love a tugboat and then you included some awesome colour too. The composition is very good with the colour in the sky reflected off that water. The rocky shore helps frame this colour and the boat in place. Maybe back off just a tad on the sharpening.

Stellar sunset image. It reminds me of the big lakes in Sweden although it is in fact depicting a bit of the Atlantic Ocean. The colours are absolutely spectacular. Good job on exposition. You bring out the silhouettes without loosing the details of the colours. And it is very sharp despite the low-light conditions. Did you rest your cam on something? The composition is very pleasant as well. In particular, the tugboat is very well situated and adds a lot to the image. It provides a sense of scale. But it also adds a human dimension to the grand nature pic.
Perhaps, the image would also work in a panoramic format (cropping the top and the bottom)? But it is fine as it stands!

Sunset spectacular.
He is wonderful to see like the shade of the tone orange, settles in the surface of the water, filling it of colorful, in spite of the dark atmosphere. The silhouettes detail a superb composition. Congratulations.

You remind me that I should write my NS connection along the Lighthouse Route, I am far behind because of TE, leaving my wonderful friends with no reaction from Switzerland.
