Photographer's Note
The bare naked branches of the trees depict the effects of a cold harsh Canadian winter, while in the background, the raging flow of water continues to pound away at the ice formations below.
This is part of the "Canadian Horseshoe" of Niagara Falls. Similar to my other picture of the American Falls (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/North_America/United_States/photo188486.htm), the mist has caused boulders of ice and snow to form below. However, the amount of flowing water is too overwhelming and does not allow ice to form in the middle of the horseshoe.
Note: The horizon looks slanted because it it sloping down to the right. Therefore, I tried to level the picture according to the building.
