La rivière Etchemin sort de son lit pour innonder un champs en friches et produire quelques reflets. Le nom Etchemin viendrait du mot abénaquis "Etemânkiaks" qui signifie "là il y a beaucoup d'orignaux et de caribous dont les peaux font de très bonnes raquettes". De là, les Français les appelèrent Eteminquois et plus tard Etchemins. La rivière Etchemin est située sur le côté sud du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Elle prend sa source dans le secteur des monts Notre-Dame. Elle coule en direction nord-ouest sur une distance de 123 kilomètres jusqu'au Fleuve Saint-Laurent.

The Etchemin river leaves its bed to flood fields in waste lands and produce some reflections. The name Etchemin would come from the word " Etemânkiaks" that means "where there is much mooses and caribous whose skins make very good snowshoes". From there, the French called them Eteminquois and later Etchemins. The Etchemin river is located on the southern part of the St. Lawrence River. It takes its source in the sector of the Notre-Dame mounts. It runs on a distance of 123 kilometers up to the St. Lawrence River.

Bonjour denis,

Les réfelxions sur l'eau du champs sont des atouts à la composition. Les arbres cadrent bien le champs innondé. La prise de vue envoie mon regard vers les montagnes ce qui donne de la profondeur au paysage. La lumière de l'après-midi rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bon weekend.

Hi Denis,
very simple yet so beautiful natural landscape. I like the variety of objects and colors. The snow in particular seems not to fit the rest of the scenery which looks like a spring already.
I like very much this variety. The reflections add another element to the composition.

Bonsoir Denis,
The blue sky and drifting clouds are echoed by the reflecting water and patches of snow giving a nice symmetry to the composition. Interesting note too although I'm not sure I believe the meaning of the name!! ;-)

It actually looks a lot like that around here in the foothills of Oregon.
