BANFF - SUNSHINE VILLAGE (VI) !
(PROVINCE OF ALBERTA)

Since my trip to SWITZERLAND, back in 2005, I decided traveling shouldn't be just walking around some cities around the world, but also having some good real adventures, like skiing, hiking, trekking, climbing and so forth! There, in the SWISS ALPS (THE GORNERGRAT - ZERMATT), I skied two days, after more than 22 years when I last skied in Colorado/USA, where I lived in 1982/83!
CANADA meant that for me too!
Here, my first day of skiing in Canada, exploring every single spot in all those mountains! Where am I gonna go now??!!

Bonjour Neyvan,

Très bel endroit. Tu donnes envie de s'élancer sur ces belles pistes. L'arrière plan est grandiose et la lumière était au rendez-vous.

Hi, Neyvan. I like the point of view you've chosen which gives us the impression we are skiing behind the two people in the foreground. The two skiers also add life and depth in the picture. Good perspective of the slope leading the eye towards the mountains in the background.

Hi Neyvan

Quite a spectacular view of our Canadian Rockies.

Good composition with the two skiers in the foreground and the steep drop in front of them...a bit scary...

The Nikon D80 was a bit on the yellow/green side for the white balance and under exposed.

Snow is always tricky for cameras and we often have to correct exposure and white balance.

Unless your intention was to recreate a film like effect, I did a little workshop to correct the colour and exposure.

It is only my interpretation and just a suggestion.

Essa cena nevada, e a nota com espírito de aventura e curiosidade me lembraram de uma tirinha que eu gostava muito quando era moleque, de uns personagens que eram, inclusive, canadenses (só que do Yukon), "Calvin e Haroldo", que em várias histórias apareciam filosofando sobre a vida enquanto deslizavam na neve encosta abaixo.
Quanto a imagem, está perfeita, belas luz e cores, nitidez excelente como sempre, com um ponto de vista privilegiado.
