Photographer's Note

Over 100 000 gannets nest on Ile Bonaventure each year. Not so sure that there will be so many in the years to come since after they are born they go live in the Golf of Mexico for about 4 years, and come back up in Quebec and will lay eggs only around 6 years of age. With the catastrophy down in the golf no one knows if the colony of gannets will survive.
