Photographer's Note
For those who don't know this. Montreal is an island in the middle of the St-Lawrence river. On this island there is a mountain, right in the midle of it (or almost). And on this mountain there were those two groom and bride that were being photographed for their marriage photo album. So I joined in, from a distance, to have a go at it too. They were placed in that spot of light by the photographer (which I removed from the pic)and I deliberately cropped to place them in the middle of my photo to illustrate how at this moment these two people are living an event as if they were the center of the world. This photo I think is one that does not have to obey the rules of third, as we are invited to do when it seems necessary to do so.
--
The photo seems quite dark on the thumbnail I hope it lights up a little when viewed in full size. Beside from cropping and removing the photographer and a passer-by I did not alter the colors or anything else.

Fantastique. L'automne est très beau au Québec. Belle composition. C'est malheureux qu'on ne discerne aucun détail dans la robe de la mariée. Mais les mariés perdus au milieu de toutes ses feuilles renmplissent bien le cadre. Du travail de pro!

the center composition works here and also the large space above their head filled with yellow leaves. well done.

Wow, Nina, this is really wonderful!
Such a romantic shot. Very nice composition. Shooting the happy couple from a distance, leaving a big big area of trees and fall leaves on the ground gives a very special atmosphere, together with excellent light contitions, and wonderful colors.
By the way, when I was in montreal I tried to get to this island. The problem was that you have to exut from a bridge that goes above the island, and the exit is so small, so I missed it 3 (!) times, and drove away to the other side of Quebec. After the third time I gave up.
So I really want to thank you for letting me see this beautiful island in the end.
Excellent job!

For sure you're right to put them in the centre. With more foreground it might have been interesting to centre them vertically as well. Looks like that white dress caught you out on the exposure - would have been nice with more detail on it.

Ninadev, who cares about the photographer anyway? It is the picture that counts, and yours is a 100%.

Fairy. I wonder whether the pro has achieved a so good photo. I seriously doubt it.
The wedding dress is maybe blown out, but in that case this gives the nice sensation that the bride is Cinderella in the fairyland ;-)). IMO, details are not so important here. I even wonder what could be the result if one adds deliberately blur to the picture. I try a WS.

Lovely composition, Nina. I would have prefer a little closer crop but it's just excellent as it is. Inspired by your vision, I made a moody version of it.

A wonderfull photo Nina. I like that the white of the dress is over exposed. It adds a concentration to the middle of the shot. You have captured a really nice moment in an even nicer way.
Génial comme photo Nina.

Les jeunes mariés "bénis" par la lumière divine du Soleil.
Fameux cet éclairage "spot" sur le sujet principal entouré d'une forêt de début d'automne.
Joli mélange de vert et de doré

A spot light meter or bracketing might have allowed you to capture the scene without over exposing the dress. Anyway a great shot nevertheless.

I love it, it's SO wonderful in sentiment and mood. I love that they are in the centre. You have them so low in the frame that it is the rule of thirds.
you did well with your colours and soft contrast.
Fabulous all around!
