Autumn reflection, a photo from Quebec, Central

Photographer's Note

Picture taken late friday afternoon, 2 hours before sunset on the opposite side. This is from old Beloeil, about 30 km south of Montreal, we can see Mont St-Hilaire on the other side of Richelieu river with an automnal reflection. I've waited a few minute for this small boat to pass in front of me at low speed, they were pulling a big big platform, at least 5 time longer than the boat ! Hope you enjoy.

Très belle image, bien nette. Je me demande si je n'aurais pas préféré sans le bateau, mais c'est un détail tout à fait personnel. L'image n'y perd rien en qualité. Bravo Pierre,

Je vois que tu as su profiter des quelques rayons de soleil à nous caresser la couenne'ce que je n'ai pû faire.
Très belle composition,surtout avec le bateau qui pas.sait par là.
Les couleurs automnales sont magnifiques sous ce soleil.Une excellente prise.

Hi Pierre. The boat is ideally placed so we can still see the reflections undisturbed and still mirror-like. I do like the central placement of the big hill. You could use just a hair more wide-angle here. Well done Pierre!

Le mont St-Hilaire est toujours aussi beau et avec les couleurs d'automne il est vraiment majestueux. J'aime bien cette composition avec le bateau en avant plan et l'eau si calme que les réflections sont comme dans un miroir. Excellente photo.

On se lasse pas du Canada à l'automne, c'est le plus bel automne du monde ( grace à Jo dassin, mais tu es jeune et tu ne le connais peut etre pas :-))
Le bateau glisse bien sur la surface lisse, les reflets sont très beaux et les couleurs d'automne illuminent l'image

Une superbe image de Beloeil, qui me semble fait paraître cet endroit beaucoup plus beau qu'il est en vérité. Je n'ai rein contre Beloeil, mais ce n'est pas un endroit que j'aurais qualifé de photogénique! La composition est vraiment belle, surtout avec le bateau at les reflets ajoutent de la beauté.

Wow, this is just a postcard perfect autumn scene, Pierre. The frame is quite delightful with the village buildings and autumnal foliage in front of the mountain being reflected on the rippled water surface. The boat (again with reflection) is a fun extra in the foreground. Very nice shot.

An almost perfect reflection about to be cut, Pierre. Amazing Fall colors, blue sky and red roofs. The church looks nice - especially in the reflection - and balances well the boat. The Mont St-Hilaire looks great in this central position, both as a backdrop - in an eminent sharpness - and as a rippled reflection on the water surface. Good thing explaining about the platform, as something hanging out from behind the boat would've left questions. Very well done!

Hi Pierre - a perfect autumn shot, the calm river has an Indian Summer atmosphere, the boat and the church are ideally placed. I climbed Mt St Hilaire once, it's not very high but since it is far from other hills, you can see very far from the top.

Fantastiques couleurs Pierre et queles niveaux de clarté et de netteté. Tu as l'air d'voir monté sur ton Nikon, une optique qui ne dois pas être bon marché.
Le cadrage est parfait, j'aime cette équilibre entre réalité et reflet.
