Photographer's Note
I pass by this tree very often whenever I go for some inline skating but on this particular day I decided to stop for a while and take its photo. It is quite amazing how beautiful some areas even in the suburbia capital of Canada (Mississagua) are.
I am not trying to show much in this photo, just a tree shedding its leaves on the ground.
I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. This photo had a very large size and I had to use very poor resampling even at 675 pixels in order to make it less than 200kb in accordance with the TE guidelines

Sarju, les idées les plus simples sont souvent les meilleures. Cet arbre à lui tout seul parle très bien de l'automne. Il occupe le centre de la photo comme pour que ce soit le plus simplement dit.

Hello Sarju. This is a wonderful picture you took with great autumnal colors. It is really impressive how this tree looks like an ... umbrella! And I realy like all these fallen leaves on the green ground - a very typical autumnal theme, but always a very beautiful one! Great shot! My best regards

Hi Sarju,
Nice shot. I like the great miscellany of fallen leaves and the beautiful golden color of them. Good sharp and DOF.

Salut Sarju
Que de belles couleurs. H'aime ces coloris fauves qui se mèlent. Juste un peu dommage pour la grille mais j'aime bien tout de même.
Cheers

A lovely range of autumn colours both on the ground and on the tree.
I've noticed I'm having to use high compression on my last 2 posts. Why is that?
Is it because the detail of individual leaves uses a lot of pixels?

Hi Sarju, Beautiful autumn color in this residential neighborhood. I enjoy the golden leaves in contrast with the brown trunk and green grass. I like your using one tree to show the season concept.

A nice impression of the vivid golden leaves, Sarju. I also have the impression in some of my recent photos that the amount of detail and color in the leaves tends to eat up a lot of kilobytes, but overall I think the quality of this one is not too bad. I like how the fallen leaves and the ones still hanging complement each other.

Hi Sarju - the photo quality is fine, and the spirit of the season is perfectly captured, the colour on the leaves is amazing and vibrant. I really miss the Canadian autumn, the seasons are not noticeable here in California. (on the plus side we don't need air conditioning in summer)

Hola Sarju.
I don't know why you have to apologize, this is a very good picture, with great autumn colours. The golden leafs and the colours contrasts of the trunk and the house in the background give you an excellent composition. Very well captured.
Well done.

The colors are very lovely- I especially like that one red leaf so clearly defined in front. Nice work!

Hi Sarju, the colours here are wonderful - Autumn always gives the photographer so many opportunities. The composition is good too. The golden leaves on the tree at the top, the fallen leaves below and a band of green with the detail of the fence to separate them. I might have put the tree trunk slightly more off centre but it's difficult to know without seeing what this would then bring into the picture. As you say quality is reduced a little by compression (I sometimes find 200k a bit restricting too) but I'm still glad you posted.

Hi Sarju,
It's unfortunate that the resampling etc. has caused the lack of sharpness. Do you sharpen before or after you resize Sarju?
Good colors, and a nice representation of the the fall colors.
I did try a workshop yesterday but it wasn't very workable with the image size from TE. If you wish, you can send me the original- and I'll try a workshop off that? [email protected]
All the best Sarju!

Hi Sarju,
a simply subject, but really well captured and composed, title is perfect...
I like a lot the way that you have cropped the yellow tree, and the flaves carpet add a great autumnal appeal to the composition... compliments!!!
have a nice week,
Fabio.

Hi Sarju,
A well composed shot of the fall foliage. I like your POV here and how you have not attempted to display the entire tree, but rather a cross-section thereof. This allows the eye to concentrate on the key aspects of the fallen leaves and the canopy of leaves above. Just enough good background to enhance. Very well captured.

Hai Sarju, thanks for sharing this photo. I hardly can see trees in this color over here in Malaysia.
I will see leaves in this color over when a tree fell to the ground for weeks. 8-)

Hi Sarju,
What is interesting here is the difference we see for the leaves on the tree and the ones on the ground - its colours and textures. The green in between is very refreshing and helps to intensify the golden fall colours. Great shot here!! All the best.

Very good picture,
The colours really show the beauty of Canadian's autumn, which unfortunately I never had a chance to experience :-(
I understand what you mean by losing quality, unfortunately that happens, and don't worry about it, for I have been in the same situation. Sometimes, when I resize a picture it completly loses it's beauty, and then I have to decide no to put it on, for the wander I used to recieve when looking at it completly vanishes.
Anyways All the best, anf cheers for reminding me of good sunnu autmn days.
Artur
