Photographer's Note
I saw this lovely named street in the middle of the falling snow and couldn't resist. This is my new hometown of Brampton, a growing city outside of the big city of Toronto, and these houses are down the street from Glendale Public School. Most of the newer homes in Brampton seem to be duplexes or quadruplexes (2 or 4 houses stuck together), but there are the areas of single dwelling homes like these, which are very sweet, and who have to shovel their own sidewalks of snow before 11 a.m. (I read that last bit in the newspaper)
----------
We've been "warmly" welcomed to Canada by new friends, and neighbours, and our extended family here. But I also want to thank my friends at TE who've written to wish us well on our new home and life in Ontario. We are adjusting, and will learn to live with the snowy life soon, I hope. The kids really like the snow, so I don't think there will be a problem there. :o)

Hi Michelle,
I really like the appearance of the snow falling against the the house in the background.
When I get home in the morning I may try a workshop that crops below the house off. I think that would improve the picture because the street sign combined with the falling snow against the house are the most dramatic parts here IMO.
Regardless, this is a very nice urban winter scene. And, a great capture of the falling snow.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Michelle
nice to know that you guys are doing fine.
In GTA one has to like the snow, there is no other way to stay sane for five months of the year.
You are right about the street names in Brampton. I was impressed with that too when I visited it once. There were streets named after planets, plants, seasons ... very nice.
About this photo, I like it as such rather than the cropped version as we can see the street very well. and you have definitely captured the snow scene fairly well .. I had no idea that it had snowed with such an intensity.
Take care and have fun in the snow.
Cheers .... sarju
PS: thanks for the info about the 11 am shovelling thing ... I did not know that there was a law for that ... I know that for garbage, it can be put out only after 6PM or something on the day before the pick up.

Hi Neighbour :) Wow! You have moved to Brampton, my home town too. I was so surprised. We should get together for a cup of tea one day and maybe take some photos. This is a lovely shot of the snow falling on one of the streets. Good composition.
