Kananaskis Upper Lake...or what`s left of it:)
Because of continous flood menace in the Spring and due to the fact that the snow is still up in the mountains, they keep the levels low for Upper Lake and Lower Lake, so they can take the amount of snow which will melt down soon, maybe next month.
For the moment, this is how the lakes look like now; about 10m below the normal level..

You show us a terrific scenery here. This view really is impressive and the ice-covered lake just is great. There's so much cold in this picture... In combination with your note a photo in the sense of TE!

well Nela,
too be honest, this is a shot for a super wide lens, the result you can get with for a sample the canon 10-22 would be a very nice one. But the details here are nice, the lines are nice, the F in the shot is good, well seen and good job anyway.

very nice shot with great foreground interest with the ice, beautiful scenery in the background, would have been nice to have had a wider view, but you still have an impressive shot with this one.

This shot has loads going for it, but I think it feels a bit cramped in the top. I do love big foregrounds, and this one is full of interest and colour. I love the blue of the frozen lake. The background is also really intersting; the only problem is that there doesnt appear to be enough room for the mountains and sky. I think a composition which allows a little more breathing space between the mountain tops and the top of the frame will benefit this shot enormously. One to return to when conditions are similar.

Beautiful natural scenic shot.
Love all the blue tones here.
Great clarity in the frozen lake and all the way to the BG too.
Excellent composition to focus more on the lake and less sky.
The mountains and trees look pristine.
You have amazing shots to look at in your gallery. I will be back again,
