Photographer's Note
A man-made beauty!...I mean the lake, not the photo:)
Seriously, this is not a natural lake but an artificial one and by some kind a mistake it came out the way you see it.
The water is crystal clear and the temperature is about 43 degrees F.Last year I was so brave to swim for about one minute (well, my wife always says it that it was only 30 seconds but I know what I felt...)

Hi Nelu,
I would never guess that this lake was man-made. You do an excellent job of capturing it. I like the composition- good framing by objects in the foreground.
Great colors and reflection as well.
Nice work, thanks for sharing!

Hi Nelu,
this is a fantastic landscape! The colours are brilliant and the polirizer made a very good work. Finally, the kit lens proved to be a very good one. You are a brave man and a good photographer. Thank you for sharing.
My best wishes,
Athanasios.

Hello Nelu,
A lovely scenery, pure postcard!
Hopefully this is not a reservoir for an electric power plant, if so the water level would vary considerably leaving ugly shores for good parts of the year...
As it is here... Outstanding!

Lovely colours and comp here Nelu - greens and blues go together so well. I really like the subject matter - it looks like a gorgeous landscape to photograph and you have done it justice. One slight point - dont know whether it was possible but it would have been nice to not have included the tree on the right of the frame. I dont mind the bottom of it so much, but the top I find a little distracting - but not too much.
Adam.

Hello Nelu,
Man-made or not, this is still an amazing scene. I love the lighting, the rich colours and the beautiful reflections on the water! Great composition with excellent quality and details. Great work, Nelu!
Greetings,
Ann
PS: I bet it was cold to swim in this lake indeed. I believe you when you say you were in the lake for one minute...hehe.

Nelu this is an excellent picture. I see no flaws whatsoever in the image. The colours and the crispiness give the image a very natural feel. Almost feel like being on the shore of the lake right now. Great light you had to capture excellent details and the views, as is usual in the Rockies, is breathtaking. Nice work!

any ideas for our next trip, when and where?

Hello Nelu,
Amazing place and excellent shot....
Despite the lake was man-made, it looks nature, very beautiful indeed. But i think it would be stronger in a panorama view (a ws for compliment). Otherwise it's very well done, thanks for share it.
best wishes

Hello Nelu
Another glorious day in the rockies! You've captured the ponds and surrounding trees and mountains very well. Beautifully composed. The colours and detail are excellent. Well done.
