Photographer's Note
Hi!
I know I promised yesterday to come up with the panorama from Wedge Pond but it`s not ready yet.
This image is taken from the bridge as you turn South from TransCanada Highway to Highway 40 in Kananaskis Country.
I know,I know,...horizon level:)...but which one is that?
Thank you and enjoy the show:)

Hello, Nelu! Wow, I've just seen your photo in the gallery, and then your own gallery... and I can't wait to visit Canada :-) This shot is impressive, and you know it. Purists could say that shadows are a bit "dark" (well, that's the real world: the ying and the yang); but as long as I'm concerned, it's perfect. Colours, composition and the light on the background make it special. And that's it.
TFS, and take care. I'll re-visit!

Très belle composition, belle couleur, les deux autoroutes nous apportent vers ces montagnes. Bravo!!!

Nelu this is the same cloud as in my last posted picture. You took it from a farther point though. Excellent compo with very nice lines into the background. The colours of the early morning look very good here. I can't wait to see the rest of pictures you took that day. Thanks Nelu.

Hello Nelu,
Fantastic shot! I don't see any problem with the horizon because of the type of photo you took. The beautiful clouds hanging in front of the mountains confuse us on where the horizon exactly is...so I wouldn't have noticed anything!
The light is wonderful with the sun on the mountain peaks, the colours are fantastic and the details are wonderful. There is snow on the mountains already, I see...that sure adds to the photo! Excellent work, Nelu!
Greetings,
Ann

A fantastic picture.
At first I thought that the clouds were peaks covered in snow, but as I looked closer I realised there were clouds and snow on them at the same time. The highest peaks bathed in pink rays and the pink sky ads a touch of drama to this picture. The highway seems to end just at the base of the mountains, without any bend on it. This is really good work. It was worth to get up early in the morning... or stay without sleep the whole night.
Regards.

Howdy Nelu,
I like the even distribution of color/exposure level throughout your shot - I've had trouble shooting sunsets (either getting ground or sky, but not both). What I really enjoy about your shot is how you've captured the clouds as they rest on/in front of the mountains. It looks a little like they're mimicking the mountains.

Hi Nelu. Central horizons, rule of thirds etc, all just guidelines, not hard and fast rules. Do what looks good to you! You have timed your shot well to catch that wonderful colour in the sky. I like the composition. Good detail and sharpness also. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers. Paul.

Hi Nelu:
I know this overpass well--the point where your trip really gets beautiful, whether you're heading to K-Country or Banff. I've passed it many times. I love the combination of the faint alpenglow and the clouds around the mountains. Makes me look forward to my next trip to Alberta. Great job.

Hi Nelu. Just picking one out. The sight here is impressive; I like the depth that is created by the two highway lanes. And the background is contrasting very good against man's modern way of living. I like what you did here.

Hiya Nelu, nice clear shot, love the symmetery of the roads into the mountains blanketed by the clouds, the subtle pink? above the mountains is a great touch, the small darker cloud on the left is unfortunate, otherwise dynamic capture!
