Photographer's Note
This tunnel has been erected for the Bordeaux Xmas close to the cathedral. Waited for a lonely people passage.

Yves.

Hi Claude,
it feels almost like it would be some kind of gate to another dimension.
Looks quite abstract anyway.
But I like how you framed and timed the scene-it gives us a good notion about it.
Have a good day

Bonjour Claude,
Ah, ha, another "erection" from France! This time perhaps just a little more tasteful and with some lovely warm and bright light as the lady with her child in a pushchair is perfectly silhouetted passing through this little tunnel of light. A good strong composition, well seen and well taken and beautifully sharp.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Bonjour Claude,
Such a lovely shot for the time of year!
This really does promote the mood of Christmas: warm, bright, come on in and share it!
The silhouetted figure is the star, creating human interest and demonstrating the contrast of light and shadow.
Your viewpoint is perfect for us to share the experience.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Claude
J'aime bien cette ambiance, ce clair obscur. Les tonalités monochrome dans les dorés sont très plaisants.
La seule chose qu'on pourrait avoir à redire c'est que le sujet est plein centre, j'aurais donc coupé la partie gauche de l'image
Bien cordialement

salut claude. it is interesting to see people passing through this arch, while there is also plenty of place to walk around. but i would do the same, because the thing is simple yet inviting, and i would walk through it just to walk through it :) excellent exposure control, and it is a reverse for the "light at the end of tunnel" genre: it is "light inside the tunnel".

Salut Claude,
Belle illumination bien cadrée sous cet angle, une photo rendue vivante par la vue des passants, sans doute qu'un cadrage qui laisserait voir le haut serait aussi intéressant, bonne capture de la lumière.

the tree in the background looks like a hand, ready to grab the people :)
Nice and sharp, great shot.

Bonsoir Claude
Original ce passage illuminé. La présence de la personne permet d'apprécier les dimensions de l'œuvre. Bien fait.

The rounded form of the illuminated archway invites all to walk through it and I'm sure the mother is talking to her infant about the wonders of the lights as she pushes the buggy through the display Claude! An unusual Christmas scene where you have centered on the human element and not just the pretty lights. I like your approach. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Claude,
Great way to present this holiday decoration. The silhouette of the woman walking through is very nice, and I also like the way the lights shine on the cobblestone floor. This photo puts me in a festive mood. :-)

Hi Claude
I'm surprised a bit that you'd get a fast 1/90 shutter in the dark, but the more i think about it i suppose its because there's so much illumination around the dark spaces.
Really like the way its constructed, with the light and dark contrasts. Also having the building in the bg a bit illuminated increases the depth...
nice shot all around
cheers

Hello Claude
Yes - worth the wait. At Xmas this could be easily disappearing inside the tunnel of consumerism!
