The Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) is a member of the pelican family. It breeds from southeastern Europe through Asia to China in swamps and shallow lakes. The nest is a crude heap of vegetation.

This is the largest of the pelicans, averaging 170 cm in length, 11-15 kg in weight and just over 3 m in wingspan. On average, it's the world's heaviest flying species, although large male bustards and swans can exceed the pelican in maximum weight. It differs from the White Pelican in that it has curly nape feathers, grey legs and greyish-white (rather than pure white plumage). It has a red lower mandible in the breeding season. Immatures are grey and lack the pink facial patch of immature White Pelicans. The latter also has darker flight feathers.

hello george,
the scene and the birds are beautiful.
the boats having the same reddish tone with birds lddm wonderful.
i personally think that, improving colors and removing the unnatural color of water will enhance this image.

Hello George.
I like this simple but engaging picture. The colour combination works very well, and the detail and focus is very good. I like the way their beaks match the red colour in the boat. You could probably increase the saturation a little bit. I like your note, too! Well done.

A good composition. I like the two pelicans looking into the same direction and the fact that the bird mouths have the same red colour as the upper part of the boat.

Γεια σου Γιωργο.Δεν σε ζηλευω και εγω με την σειρα μου γιατι φορτωσα τις μπαταριες μου στην Κερκινη.Ελπιζω να συναντηθουμε καποια στιγμη εκει.Οπου βλεπω φωτογραφο στην λιμνη θα τον ρωταω.Οσον αφορα την φωτο ειναι εξαιρετικης καθαροτητος,ωραια η ποζα των πελεκανων και η χρωματικη ομοιοτητα πλαβας-ραμφων πετυχημενη,αναμενω με λαχταρα τις επομενες φωτο σου.
