Photographer's Note

This yacht lay anchored in the bay at Palionisos Beach, a beautifully picturesque haven which lies in a secluded narrow little bay on the north east coast of the island of Kalymnos, Greece. Once only easily accessible from the sea it now has a new road that enables easier access. Much loved by the locals with crystal clear water and an abundance of fish, urchins and crabs.

the place looks to coming from an forgotten island but the modern sailing boat bring us to the reality,of our days.
I like the clear and colourful sea waters, as the picturesque of the place.A place that someone can spent some of his vacations days in full of tranquility and calness.

A centered subject is often difficult to manage but here the effect is very interesting. That gives the feeling that the sailboat charges at us !

A perfect techical picture, a school example 1/3 and 2/3 this is perfect.
Also the clear water and the green algae.
You chose an excellent angle this gives depth and perspective..

The objective is the yacht, but the transparent and crystalline color of the sea water in the foreground is wonderful.

Wonderful transparency of these waters, which also offers a nice undulation in its serenity, great perspective that gives the ship docked in the distance, magnificent and sharp mountains that are in the background.

It remembers me my sails holidays of June.
I like the composition placing the sailboat on the vertical middle line of the frame.
The composition is well balanced and even the little waves in foreground are participating to the picture.

its very unique, very visually curious.
normally we don't place our subject squarely in the middle, but this one honestly works well this way.
