Photographer's Note

The dome atop Tamerlane's mausoleum "Gur Emir" - the Tomb of the Ruler. The mausoleum was built in the early 15th century and houses Tamerlane, his grandson and descendents down to Ulug Beg.

This is a beautiful combination of interesting, symbolic shapes with amazing textures… I only wish you had either left the tip of the dome in the frame, or cut it out just a bit more to make a more complete composition.

I really like this tight framing even if I agree with the previous comment...colors are beautiful, you had a great idea but if you included even the top of the dome it could have be really outstanding...mind the details! ;-))

This is a wonderful presentation of Islamic architecture with the dome in brilliant colours flanked by a minaret decorated by geometrical ornaments and the very artistic calligraphy on top of it.

Even if the top of the roof is cut, I like this picture : the point of view is original and interesting. We can see these beautiful mosaics.

Great composition! I don't even mind the top of the dome being cut off... It's different than usual presentations and yet so typical. And I'm so grateful you didn't enhance the colors because this is exactly how I remember them.
