Photographer's Note

Although this isn't the exact same photo as the original post, it was so similar that I couldn't justify a new post. Besides, the original had some major JPEG artifact issues, which I wanted to correct anyway.

Upper Waterton Lake at sunrise. What a beautiful morning it was. Nobody around. This shot was taken shortly after the original (note the difference in cloud position) and the log is a bit to the left, but otherwise it's identical. I used Photoshop to edit and compress it, and used the "Fill" handlebar to bring out some of the detail a bit better. The better compression avoided the JPEG artifacts (as far as I can tell).

For me there's no better place on earth than the wild corridor that runs through Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, and southern Alberta.
