On a recent trip to Chicago, I finally got a chance to see Millenium Park. The park is directly off Michigan Ave. and is completly modern. At first you are not sure if it belongs there with the old majestic buildings behind it. But then again it does belong. I like the way the curved sculpture creates its own panorama of the surrounding buildings. It was also fun watching the people stare at it from differant directions as they became short and squaty, tall and thin. I also caught myself taking a self portrait when I was up close.

There have been a few of this impressive new monument on TE now. And this is a fine addition to them. I like your straight on view of it here against the older buildings. It has two worlds merging nicely. The lines are excellent. The sense of depth and scale is well seen here. And I like, again, what it does to the buildings it reflects and the plaza. And also, again, it seems to have swallowed up the photographer. In the ones I have seen of this thing I have never been able to definitively locate the photographer in the reflection. Something I see here seems too far to be you or it could be a result of the distortion. But I can't be sure like the others so this, yet again, proves to be a mysterious thing that seems to have selective reflectivity. So it would be neat to see the close reflection just to prove that this does reflect photographers. :) Well done and welcome to TE, Curt.

Curt, welcome to TE! I love the "full frontal" take of this and the fact that you've waited for the couple to stand where they are. They give a little bit of a story telling element to this wonderful photo of The Bean! Congratulations! I love the colors too, btw, so D70.
