Photographer's Note
This Rockland, Maine lobster boat goes by the handle of Miss Hana. Lobstermen often name their craft after their mother, sweetheart, first born daughter or a combination of the afore said.
This was on a lovely Sept. evening when the skies and waters are the clearest due to the air temp and water temps being about even.

Hello Tom,
Your lower point of view from canoe is just splendid and an enviable one as you know. I liked amazing blue and white colors on boats and also as reflections too. The water drops on your canoe and naturally tilted horizon just wonderful. Congratulations.
Friendly Regards,

Hello Tom,
The angle is excellent in this composition. Being so low make it feel as almost we can touch the water. Nice sharp image with good colours and an interesting subject. Nice overall work Tom :-)

Hi Tom
The tilted horizon works well here, & conveys the rocking motion of the fg kayak (the prow of which, adds good linear perspective.) Excellent sharpness, with wonderful color & light contrasts. Tfs!

Hi Tom,
Again a shot from you boat, you have a nice serie from this pov which brings us always a low pov with the tip in front. Seems there is a small tilt, but not really disturbing, it's how the boats are placed behind each other in line what is the strong key here, i like such an effect.
Have a nice day,
Henk

Hello Tom;
Fine composition; I especially like the lighting and the way the boats line up diagonally across the frame. Some very nice reflections with good colours and sharpness.

Hello Tom,
Your low pov really puts us in touch with the water, and the tilted horizon gives the impression of sharing the boat with you!
I like the upward, sharply-focussed view of the boats, with their light reflecting hulls.
Good sense of perspective.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Tom
de toute beauté ce cliché ou le bleu de l'eau se marie à merveille avec le ciel et en prime le Miss Hana qui est prêt à partir pour la pêche aux homards

Tom,
Another great shot taken from your Canoe, I would be afraid to take my camera in one of those. With my luck as soon as I got the camera out I would hit a log and flip.
Your composition is great showing the boats from an angle that gives the scene depth and direction. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail. The boats stand out nicely against the deep blue sky.
TFS,
Asa

Hi Tom,
I love the lines of these lobster boats, the sheer running up to the high bow gives these boats their own distinctive look. I'll bet they are terrific sea boats, especially in a short choppy sea.
Nice perspective, I see you aren't letting up on the reminding me about the kayak project.
Best wishes

Good low POV Tom. The horizon is not straight but it implies a rocking motion in the kayak.

Hi Tom, The low POV works beautifully as the eye leads over the canoe & on towards the Miss Hana, I love the slight ripple of the water & the way it has broken up the reflections, very well composed & a wonderful blue surround, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Tom,
as already mentioned by Greg, one can really feel the motion! Although the image conveys the impression of calmness and serenity of the evening, you have succeeded in adding a nice touch of dynamic. A very pleasant composition despite the small tilt of the horizon. TFS!
Warm regards

Hi Tom,
I have been away for a while and I have missed seeing your canoe images. A real sense of being on the water and the low angle has given a 3D impression of the boats. Take care my friend!
