Photographer's Note

Here is one last trio of photos from Bushwick in Brooklyn. The mural in this main photo is by the same artist as the previous one, Robert Vargas from Los Angeles. It’s another representation of indigenous people from the Americas entitled “Gods that walk among us”.

On a side note, reflecting a bit of NYC’s Dutch history, the name Bushwick comes from the 17th century Dutch “Boswijck”, meaning neighborhood in the woods. I guess there was a lot of greenery in the area three hundred years ago, but there’s much less now!

In the WS are two more views; one is a completely different kind of face…and body. :-)
