Photographer's Note

Here’s another photo that shows the variety of “pots” used as the base of Little Island. I’m not completely satisfied with the dull colors and pale sky, but here you can see the entire width of this new attraction. On the left and right edges of the frame is a glimpse of the two walkways used to enter and leave the island. It truly is little, less than two blocks across.

The designers really packed a lot into a small space. The park has various lawns and paths, and a lot of diverse flora. Little Island also has three stands selling food and beverages, an outdoor area for dining, and a 687-seat amphitheater used for performances. When I visited the island, there were two poets writing on-the-spot poems, which were typed out on old-fashioned typewriters. There is usually daily entertainment for both children and adults.

Next time I’ll show some views once you’re on the island.

In the WS is one more exterior view.
