I was attracted to the different kinds of contrasts in the picture (light & dark, black & white, big & small, high & low, functional & ornamental, animate & inanimate, spiritual & secular, sky & earth, old & new, etc.)

Trinity Church, at 74 Trinity Place in New York City, is a historic full service parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Trinity Church is located at the intersection of Broadway and Wall Street in downtown Manhattan.

I agree. A number of really nice contrats typical of NYC. I think black & white and the inclusion of the tree really add to that theme. Nice photo!
