Mares and Foals, a photo from Pennsylvania, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Lancaster County, our home since 1994 is well known by Amish people, who are living without very specific life, not much changed in last 200 years. Horses are a big part of their life, used for transportation, farming, etc.
Spring is time when we can see thousands of scenes like this on my photos, Mares (a name for female horse and their foals (horse name for a newborn )
These foals are about 3-4 months old and "moms and childrens" are separated from other horses.
Some horses are used for pulling heavy farming machinery, other for pulling small Amish carts, known as buggies.
