This is a group of Asian Americans performing in the Mummers' New Year's Day Parade in Philadelphia.Their theme was truth, compassion, and tolerance.

Aren't these performers from the falun gong group, they are dressed the same as I saw them in a parade in SF (posted one pix)?
I have a feeling you were so happy to have a great occasion to shoot away, with this parade, outside of your asian trips. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Beatiful composition, As Simon said about croping, I also would like to see the what in the hands of the second and third ladies. Thank you for sharing, this picture reminds where should I go on this weekend.

am seeing you after a long time.
this is a really really good photograph and the little tilt is what adds a lot of feel to it.
i dont quite agree with simon and others about the sign. although it's a little disturbing on its own, if you were to crop it out, you'd also have to crop out the fan, thus reducing the beauty of the photograph by a great degree.

also this is not only a matter of the fan, but you've also captured a group of asians living in the states. i think the sign is of great journalistic importance here.
somehow this reminds me of some of jodi cobb's work

Your colorful icon, the PoV, the location name, and the shape of the Asians drawn me to this full open picture.
