Photographer's Note
I guess something about this trip made me think of spy movies... here's a shot from behind our hotel in San Juan, of the differently colored levels of the first three floors: The blue lighting over the promenade back porch, the warm lighting of a seating area on the second floor, and the bright white creating a silhouette in a guest room on the third. I can't help but think of a shadowy figure making shadowy plans here...

Ciao Andrew
questa mi piace molto.
Tre diversi livelli con tre soggetti differenti e diversi livelli di illuminazioine, ma che nell'insieme formano una composizione assai suggestiva.
Ottima idea sviluppata molto bene.
Complimenti
Ciao e buona domenica

Hi Andrew,
Intriguing image you have captured so well.
If we start from the top, we have the guy looking out on a phone conversation, next level, we have a family dinning scene, then bottom level we have the blue/red lit restaurant for the romantic couples.
Wonderful, well spotted, managed and presented.
Cheers, Iain.

Hi Andrew,
Wow! This is the stuff of spy movies - very well captured indeed! You might just as easily been using a rifle with telecopic sights as a camera! Hee, hee.
A wonderful composition, almost in layers of differng colours, with remarkable high quality (even in its full-size version) considering the very poor lighting condiitons.
Very well seen and taken!
Brilliant!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Andrew
The subject, composition and colors are very nice. There is only one thing, because of perspective, the image falls a little to the right. Adjusting the lines to be all vertical and parallel would create the perfect balance.

Hi Andrew,
Oh, this is great...and I love your take on the mysterious and covert vibe. :) Your note lends this type of imagery to the notion of Watergate. lol
What a terrific observation, the three distinct levels of color and intrigue are composed perfectly. I always love a good silhouette, and the individual up top is a real beauty against that florescent backlight, especially with that given pose. Great use of your time ion the hotel, just proof we don't always need to travel far to find a winning shot! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Take it easy.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hi Andrew,
Yes this is definitively an intriguing scene with a lot going on. It looks a little eerie with the man on the top floor, but he is most likely a normal man, only outside to take a breath of air:) Wonderful photo with various scenes, light and colors. Excellent observation, i like this picture(and note) a lot, well done!
Best regards/

Ciao Andrew
molto bella e molto originale, veramente ben fatta.
Le luci e le diverse situazioni sono racchiuse in tre distinte strisce, come fossero fumetti.
Ottima esposizione, un bellissimo lavoro.
Saluti

Hello Andrew,
This was a very well spotted photo opportunity. This really sets my imagination going at full speed. I could make up any kind of story about what's going on behind these windows. What is the guy at the top floor doing and thinking of? This is a bit like Hitchcock's Rear Window, one of my favourite movies. Will we be witnessing a possible murder any time?
I really like this fairly unusual picture.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Andrew, Interesting view of these three levels with different light and colours. Fun to observe what is going on behind the windows. Intriguing capture. I also remember Hitchcock's Rear Window, I was very impressed by it and I loved Jimmy Stewart and princess Grace. Can you imagine, it was sixty years ago..

Hi Andrew
I've spent a while just staring and seeing what I could see!! What a very clever idea as this works really well and tells an outstanding story! that all have different from each level and effectively crop this way. The mystery figure settles the focus of attention and strongly anchors the eye in, it's timely shot with just enough brightness to add a bit of extra impact and depth and I do love the play of contrasting colours and highlights /shadows, the lighting effect and finally the glow. A thought-provoking image which is open to various interpretations, even with my limited imagination. Great capture, Congrats
Best regards

Hello Andrew,
I do like this layered composition with its different colours. The simple silhouette of the man on the highest floor adds the mystery to the'story'. This is a very well taken image and a great idea.
Very well done.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi Andrew,
one word-Masterpiece!
Love the idea for the shot and its excellent execution. These different coloured layers and different actions taking on each of these levels make the shot both eye-catching and intriguing.I have to agree with some other reviewers-it feels really like a movie scene.
Have a nice weekend
