Photographer's Note
Attention! Enemy Listens!
And now we are in the Breaching the German Frontier Bunker Gallery of the Road to Berlin: European Theater Galleries section of The National WWII Museum. We learn from the museum’s website that:
The Allied advance grounded to a halt as it encountered the Siegfried Line, a network of bunkers, minefields, and barbed wire built into hilly terrain. This gallery mimics the interior of a blown-out German bunker, allowing you to see the formidable infrastructure employed by the Germans in defense of their homeland. It also focuses on the stories of the Allied advance into Germany, including the capture of Aachen, the first German city to surrender, while also foreshadowing the many battles that still lay ahead for the American forces.
I was amused by the sign that read ”Achtung! Feind hört mit!“ (Attention! Enemy listens!).
Dikkat!

Hello Murat,
A good capture of this bunker. I like the inclusion of the old concrete walls on both sides, it gives the impression we were spying on the man sitting there and watching the film.

Hello Murat,
Difficult to imagine being encased in a concrete bunker like this waiting for the enemy to make his move. A well composed scene with good light management.

Hi, Murat.
Perfect recreation of the interior of a bunker, that seen from our house is oppressive and cold in the most obscure lack of anything that distracts the eyes.
A perfect photo.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Murat,
The British cracked the Enigma code and perfected radar, which lost the Germans their initial advantage and success. I used to watch 'Combat' as a kid in the mid to late 60's. A swell exposure in a low light level interior. Tfs!
