Southeast Alaska's temperate rain forest is a misty, dark, overcast, and quiet place during the winter. This shot of Ward Lake was taken at midday when the reflection of the clouds is the only light available. Everything stands in quiet relief on such a day.

Your note and your photograph correspond, it's a real rainy country. In a way a bit depressing but it is not much different how it could be in many parts in Switzerland. Rain is different in Asia, where you like it, because it cools a bit the heat. In Alaska or Europe it is rather damp and unpleasant. Your picture really lets the viewer feel the climate as it is. Well done

Looking at this picture, until the man cold. Grass and bushes along the river covered with frost. Cool, natural colors and very good sharpness.
