Photographer's Note

Colors of yesteryears on Allen Street, Tombstone, AZ; an old mining camp dating of 1877 that knew many days of lawlessness and violence wich had then-President Chester Arthur declaring martial law and sending in military troops to restore order. (Nowadays, they fake gunfights for the audience!!)
During WWI Tombstone was a major producer of maganese for the government and in WWII was extracting lead for the cause.
After both conflicts Tombstone faded in obscurity until its gradual restoration for tourism,
The sign "Stetson" refers to an outlet for the world- famous "Hat of the West".
