Photographer's Note
I was getting ready to shoot a wedding. From the distance (left) I saw the bride and her bridesmaids heading toward the country club. What struck me was this lonely tree sitting on top of the hill. With the clouds and and tree, I thought this would make a great image.
Originally shot in color, it was converted to B&W with photoshop and I used a polarizing filter on the camera.

Hi Alyn,
Very well seen and judged of ankle using this lonely tree.
Great B&W shot too. I'm sure the bride would be very pleased to see this picture.
Ha!3x looks like that the bride is getting marry to the the tree there as the tree is swaying blissfully.
Thanks for sharing.

Nicely seen Alyn, I like th euse of B/W here. I'm of two minds here, part of me want to crop it tighter, but I do like the vastness of the sky. Thanks, Don

Nice work--i agree about the tree, it makes a very interesting, almost surreal compositional element. With nothing to judge scale by seperating the tree from the viewer, it seems strangely out of scale with the foreground figures. You also exposed it well to get a strong silhouette on the tree while holding the white in the wedding dress, but not blowing out the sky too badly.
Thanks for this one!
