Photographer's Note
The racetrack is a special location in the north west of te death vallex. In this place, the rocks are moving alone, making marks on the ground....
A lot of theorie have been generated to explain this phenomena. But non of them has been proven at this time.

Bonsoir Jacques,
what ever the reason for this strange effect, the composition you made of it with the moon in the background (as if the rock was coming from there...) is very spectacular... great shot, thanks for sharing!
Have a nice evening

Hello Jacques,
This was obviously made by a human being and it could have been long ago as such tracks in the desert can remain undisturbed for many years. Will the one who did it please step up and tell us how you managed not to leave any other marks or footprints behind. The stone seems to have skidded rather than rolled and it could have been done from a helicopter. By observing many such trails one should be able to determine how it was achieved. Nonetheless, the intriguing image is very well composed and in excellent quality. Certainly worth the view.
