Just a day on the beach for this lucky family that lives here. Laguna Beach was my last stop before boarding the plane back to Boston.

Hi Kathy,
beautiful framing; the cliffs, the breaking waves,the body boarder on a wave and Dana Point in the distance. The clarity of the color shows the transparency of the waves well. To my favorites!!

What a nice private beach. I think that you covered the beauty of the spot very well. The blue of the ocean and the sky, the green of the shore and the houses of those lucky living there.

Dear Kathy (If I may),
I enjoyed very much looking at the photo you recently posted of "Family Outing." What struck me, aside from the beautiful colors, the strong diagonal lines, the composition, etc. was that you had cropped the picture in the form of the "golden rectangle." Whether purposefully or unwittingly, why you chose that aspect ratio puzzled me. I just posted a photo entitled "Magical Mykonos," and I used the aspect ratio (1-to-1.618) specifically. If you get a chance, take a look at my image and the associated explanation. Is it your painterly eye, or formal training? Best wishes from Virginia, Bulent

Hello Kathy from Laguna Beach. Yes, I thought this one looked familiar to me since I now reside in Laguna. You really captured the essence of this area with the great ocean view and clifftop houses. Well done and thanks for sharing.
