Photographer's Note

Hello all,
there were so many wonderful floats at the 125th Rose Parade this morning that is was so hard for me to choose the first one to share and add to my Rose Parade Theme. The theme this year is "Dreams Come True", a tribute to a world of Dreams that have come true as a result of imagination, passion, creativity, and hard work. Those four words totally describe this incredible musician, singer, song-writer.
This float from RFD-TV featured and is an ode to the musician Daryl Hall and his house and show "Live From Daryl's House", which can be viewed on the internet live once a month for free and on the RFD-TV and Family Net Station. The float was the second to the last in the parade and he and his band performed live for the cameras. The float was 55 ft. long and I did take several photos of its entirety but we can't see Daryl so well in those because he is in the shade of the tree. The float depicts settings from his house on his Huckleberry Farm estate in New York, a 245 acre farm that he renovated. Classic home renovation is his avocation in life.
Here is a link to a t.v. clip interview of him a few minutes before the parade started this morning, (
