First snow Yosemite, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

After a beautiful first day in Yosemite NP we were faced with snow between 1 and 10 inches of snow the next morning. Having no chains and expecting another 10 to 15 inches the next day, sadly it was time to leave the park way to soon. Hoping that route 120 (Taiga pass) was still open we drove upto the junction that was closed. Not areal big surprise. The only way to get around is going South or North into dry and still hot Nevada. Driving slowly down out of the park I took this shot asit had a very mistique athmosphere what I tried to capture for all to see.

A misty charm in this photo indeed. Lovely capture of the light snow contrasting so beautifully with the dark trees. Nicely seen and well executed.
