Photographer's Note

Sprague Lake - Rocky Mountain National Park.

Andrew and I had been hanging out all evening along the river at Morraine Park .. I decided to head up to the little nature trail that loops Sprague Lake for a last evening activity. Instead of a sunset we found a loud boisterous thunderstorm rolling in off the peaks .. but the lake silent and still. As we got to this overlook there was starting to be a great deal of lightning (but I didn't catch any) .. instead I starting trying to gather Andrew to get back to the car and snapped a few images. ..

In the heat of this battle I wasn't watching (I ended up with this as a jpeg instead of RAW .. let alone the exposure .. ). This is an image I have always wanted to help as far as I can ... I have pulled what I can out of the black that was the forest in the original ..

I like the dark moodiness of it but it may be just too much dark ..

anyhow .. hope you enjoy and it and look forward to suggestions.
