Million Dollar Highway 1, a photo from Colorado, West

Photographer's Note

Colorado's Million Dollar Highway follows the route of U.S. 550 between Silverton and Ouray, for 40 kilometers. The "million dollar" name comes from the highway's 19 km south of Ouray through the Uncompahgre Gorge to the summit of Red Mountain Pass.

When I saw this thumbnail my first idea was about a field wiyh the yellow sping flowers. ... But I have see the autumn landscape with the October colors. Anyway, I like this work! TFS!

Beautiful! This will also make a good subject for painters. Awesome landscape especially the snow covered mountains. I like the effect of the low hanging clouds on the mood. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

I love mountains, visited a few times Colorado but with this photo you did wonderful job. Rocky Mountains covered with first snow, clouds passing between with the blue sky above and golden colored aspens complete this beautiful picture.
